Subject: Stage-Combat: Boots
For an exquisite pair of custom boots or shoes, I recommend
Frederick Longtin
RR#2 Box 2094
Granville Ferry, Nova Scotia BOS 1KO
902-532-2233
He's made a pair of thigh-high Elizabethan boots for me and a pair of
18th C high heeled shoes. They are comfortable to wear and have held up
splendidly. I don't work on stage but do inter-active stuff at
historical events. Thus, our attire must be able to stand up to VERY
close inspection and be comfortable to wear all day long.
I respect the long tradition of gerry-rigging in theatre, but my advice
is make the investment in good tools where it counts: safety and
comfort.
