The Sweet Cat Himself
Grungy ("Tommy " to some) was found roaming the neighborhood in Alameda in the Spring of 1999. He insisted he lived at our apartment. He is a very sweet cat, about three years old, and had clearly been someone's pet. Efforts to locate his original owners failed. Just recently a woman biking through the neighborhood introduced herself to me and told me his original owner lives around the corner The owner couldn't get her cat, "Skunk," to stay at home after she gave her son a new puppy. According to the friend the owner is happy that someone is taking care of her kitty.
